The Young Adult Leadership Board is a new initiative of Camp Horizon’s R.I.S.E. (Resourceful, Independent, Skillful, Empowered) program, designed to empower young adults impacted by foster care with leadership skills and a deeper understanding of nonprofit governance and community involvement.
Through structured meetings and engaging discussions, members will gain insights into how boards operate, learn about advisory versus governance roles, and develop skills that will enhance their personal and professional growth.
By participating, young adults will build confidence, strengthen their voices in decision-making processes, and contribute meaningfully to Camp Horizon's mission.
