On Saturday, February 15, Camp Horizon of Georgia will host our 4th annual Foster the Funk fundraiser. This fun-filled event will be held at The Fernbank Museum, featuring a silent auction, wine grab, cash bar, and the funky 80s music of Electric Avenue. Last year, we raised over $111,000, and this year we hope to top that with at least $125,000 that will go toward year-round programming for Atlanta's foster youth!
Interested in sponsoring Foster the Funk or donating an item for our silent auction? Contact our director, Cammie, at email@example.com!
The critical dollars raised through this event are used to fund our year-round programs for Atlanta's youth in foster care. This programming works to restore dignity and and hope to children, teens, and young adults who have been abused and neglected - empowering them to make good decisions and lead healthy, productive lives. The unconditional love and support they receive from trusted adults at Camp Horizon helps emotionally wounded children grow into healthy adults. This allows them to break the cycle of abuse in their own lives and prepare them to prevent abuse in the lives of those around them. Camp Horizon is a safe place for them to grow and be loved providing "family" and connections that are often missing in their lives.
